About The Rhythm of Business
The Rhythm of Business specializes in collaborative business. We have a deep understanding of organizations, business models, management, and ways of working to innovate and succeed through collaboration. Our consulting and research activities are cross industry and cross sector. We focus on scientific and technically intensive collaborations -- especially within life sciences and energy technology industries, as well as diverse, complex issues related to economic development such as hunger, fostering entrepreneurship, and growing foreign direct investment.
Our Mission
The Rhythm of Business was founded in 1999 by Jeff Shuman and Jan Twombly, who have combined their diverse experiences and backgrounds with a passion for designing and managing global alliances and networks. Jeff and Jan are entrepreneurs, consultants, and educators. They have embarked on a mission to transform organizations from the rigid hierarchical structures that lack the agility necessary to survive and prosper in the 21st century into the entrepreneurial, collaborative networks that are rapidly becoming the organization structure through which innovation and achievement occurs.
